In The Morning Lights is a Leeds based alt-pop band formed in 2018. The duo write and produce all of their own music. Since their recent conception they have headlined The Cavern stage at Liverpool Sound City, named BBC Radio Leeds ‘Track of the Week’, were added to the BBC Radio 6 Music 'December Playlist' and have landed Spotify playlist placement on playlists including 'College Music' and the official Sofar international 'Now Playing' playlist. They have recently been selected by BBC Radio DJ Emily Pilbeam to release their next single through Leeds label 'Come Play With Me' as a 7" vinyl in May 2020.
Their sound explores the weirder side of alternative electronic pop/hip-hop - think Young Fathers meets Nao. The pair create characters and develop their stories into songs as a commentary on human behaviour. The visual media accompanying each song is an extension of the narrative and an essential side to the project.
