The evening will be hosted by Emily Pilbeam - BBC Music Introducing, Pilbeam Presents

We are privileged to partner with Brighter Sound & Association of Independent Music (AIM) for our first event.

Entry is free, but you need to register to attend. The talks will be followed by an opportunity for networking / drinks. Specific times and further information will follow closer to the event

Both Sides Now

Both Sides Now is a three-year initiative to support, inspire and showcase women in music across the North of England, with support from Arts Council England’s Ambition for Excellence fund. Presented by Brighter Sound the programme aims to bridge the gap in access, opportunity and career progression — introducing new voices to reshape a more equal and diverse music landscape. The objective of Both Sides Now is a sustained and tangible impact on women’s representation in the music industry – reframing perceptions and challenging stereotypes to influence cultural, social and political change for northern women pursuing careers in music.

Brighter Sound and Both Sides Now use an inclusive definition of ‘women’ and ‘female’, welcoming participants who identify as non-binary, cis-gendered, or trans.
